Values and Philosophy

You deserve to take good care of you. Therapy can provide you with a safe and supportive zone in which to explore your life and gain tools to support your wellbeing. The therapy relationship is the foundation in that work. You can find a therapist that is a good fit for you. I believe in each person's capacity to grow and heal. I see our work together as a partnership in which we both bring our skills, commitment and openness to the process.

Therapeutic Technique and Methodology

I bring many years of experience and training, along with compassion and a variety of skills. I individually tailor this work with the individuals, couples and families in my practice. I respect your concerns and therapy goals, strengths, and learning style. My approach is very interactive and may include elements of approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, Gestalt, mindfulness, systematic relaxation training, interpersonal communication practice, narrative, visualization or hypnosis, educational materials, creative expression with artwork, music or movement, holistic lifestyle assessment, non-graded "homework", and more. I invite your questions and feedback along the way and we will review our progress.
